A workshop for the Catalan Society of Biology
Say it so it stays – science presentation skills in a nutshell
In this short workshop we will identify and discuss the key skills required to create and deliver a great presentation to your scientific colleagues. Particular attention will be given to clarifying the purpose of the presentation, understanding the audience and structuring content well. This interactive workshop will include a practical exercise and participants should have in mind a presentation topic that they would like to work on during the session.
Length of workshop: 1.5 hours
Number of participants: 20 maximum
Language: English. Advanced level of conversational English required.
Trainer: Dr Elinor Thompson MB ChB, MFPH
Elinor Thompson is a British physician specialised in public health, and Director of the Barcelona Biomedical Park’s continuing education initiative: the PRBB Intervals Programme. She has 12 years experience training scientists and physicians to deliver more effective and engaging talks to their peers.
